COASTAL ENERGY FIELD STATION
Wakeward
Turn a little. Give the next turbine more wind.
Steer the wake, share the wind
Change the yaw of upstream turbines A, B and C. A yawed rotor loses some of its own power, but bends its wake away from the next row. Meet both farm power and weakest downstream turbine targets using at most 60° total yaw.
Translucent cones = slower air. Gold lines = rotor orientation. Wind direction . One power unit is an isolated aligned turbine.
Upstream yaw controls
Start with a small yaw change and watch the downstream output.

Jensen wake deficit, Jiménez yaw deflection and sum-of-squares wake combination are scalar adaptations of FLORIS (BSD-3-Clause). Seven cross-rotor samples estimate wind speed; power scales cubically with speed and an illustrative cosine yaw loss. Constant thrust/induction, no turbulence evolution, no terrain or real turbine power curve. This is a synthetic teaching puzzle, not a wind-farm design tool.
